About Vector Heat
We survey the system before we specify the equipment
Vector Heat is a Lincolnshire heating company run by Liam Conneely. Liam has worked in plumbing and heating for 23 years and surveyed more than 5,000 properties. The installation team completes boiler, heat-pump, plumbing, air-conditioning and commercial heating work across the county.
The survey comes first. We check how the property loses heat, how the household uses hot water, what the existing pipework and emitters can do, and what the customer actually wants to improve. The answer might be a boiler, a heat pump, alterations to the heating system or a repair instead of replacement.
That is useful because we install both boilers and heat pumps. We do not need every survey to reach the same conclusion, which saves a lot of awkward pretending when the building has already supplied the answer.
How we work
What happens between the survey and the handover
Measure before recommending
Heat loss, hot-water demand, flow temperature, pipework and controls are checked before the main equipment is chosen. A familiar badge on the casing cannot rescue the wrong design.
Explain the trade-offs
A lower-cost option can involve compromises. A more expensive option still has to earn its place. We show what changes, what stays and where the money is going before work starts.
Install what was designed
Pipe sizing, system cleaning, controls, commissioning and handover all affect the result. The calculations and the physical installation have to agree, or the customer ends up refereeing an argument between them.
Check the finished system
Commissioning is where measured flow rates, temperatures and controls replace assumptions. We set the system up, explain it and record the information needed for servicing and future fault finding.
Keep support in the same team
The office, surveyors and engineers work together from the first enquiry through to aftercare. If something needs attention later, the job history has not vanished into a national call-centre maze.

Hi, I’m Liam, owner of Vector Heat. I’ve spent more than two decades in heating, plumbing, fault finding and system design, and I still enjoy the detail behind getting a heating system right.
I started Vector Heat because I wanted to build a team that cares about proper advice, tidy work and systems that are designed rather than guessed. If you book a heat pump survey, there’s a good chance I’ll be involved in the design side myself.
